CAPSES Announces New Board Leadership

CAPSES is pleased to announce the Board’s 2019–20 & 2020 -21 officers. 


Ryan Eisenberg, Ed.D., has been elected to the leadership role of Board President. Ryan served as the chair of the CAPSES Governmental Affairs committee, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership abilities. Ryan is the Executive Director at          Achieve Kids, Inc. in the San Jose area. Ryan has served on the CAPSES Board since 2015.  Ryan steps in for Teresa Malekzadeh who served as president for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 fiscal school years. 


Ed Danskin, Ed.D., has been elected to serve as President-Elect. Ed is the Executive Director of Intensive Behavior Intervention Consultants located in Hermosa Beach, CA.  Danskin joined the CAPSES Board in 2015 and has served as the Membership Committee Chair since 2017. 


Adrienne Kessler, Ed.D., BCBA will assume the role of Treasure previously held by Dr. Jason Bolton of The HELP Group.  Adrienne is the Chief Executive Officer of Speech & Language Development Center in Buena Park, CA. Kessler joined the board in 2017 and has served on the Finance Committee since joining the board. 


Finally, Didi Watts, Ed.D. will step in for Dr. Rebecca Foo as board secretary. Didi is the Vice President of Education at Vista Del Mar in Los Angeles, CA. Watts joined the CAPSES board in 2017. In addition to her role as the board secretary, she will also serve as Chair of the Board Governance Committee. 


“These new leaders have big shoes to fill, and I have no doubt they will succeed in their new roles, said Executive Director, Susan Lane. “It takes a great deal of commitment to serve as a board member and an even greater commitment in a leadership role. CAPSES members are fortunate to have such experienced and talented leaders to advance the organization’s mission.”
