Director of CAPSES Governmental Affairs – Wayne K. Miyamoto, M.Ed.

The CAPSES Director of Public and Governmental Affairs tracks, analyzes, and advocates proposed laws, regulations, or other federal or state public policies affecting special education services provided by private special education schools. He meets regularly with the CAPSES Governmental Affairs Committee in addition to providing regular updates on the Association’s public policy efforts to CAPSES members through electronic bulletins issued regularly, regional meetings and the Board of Directors at their regular meetings. The CAPSES Director of Public and Governmental Affairs also provides technical assistance and support to CAPSES members via the CAPSES Executive Office as well as publishing periodic advisories relating to legislative and other public policy issues for the CAPSES membership.

Director of Communication & Operations – Janeth Rodriguez, M.A.

The Director of Communication and Operations is hired by and responsible to the CAPSES Board of Directors. As a non-voting participant, the Director of Communication and Operations actively participates in all Board and committee functions and implements those decisions in coordination with the CAPSES President. The Director of Communications and Operations provides leadership, direction and administration for all aspects of the Association. The Director of Communication and Operations is under the direct supervision of the CAPSES President.
