Language Eliminating Audit Requirement Moves Forward

Bookmark and Share

At a hearing on Wednesday, the Senate Budget Subcommittee unanimously approved language eliminating the audit requirement for any NPA affiliated with nonpublic schools (NPS) and licensed children's institutions.

If approved by the Assembly during next Wednesday's scheduled vote, the language will be included in the 2018-19 budget, ultimately eliminating the audit requirement.

CAPSES as the lead association, in collaboration with CalABA, CSHA, OTAC, CPTA, ABA, and COA, sought to resolve the NPSA audit issues and submit a bill to the California Legislature to amend the current NPSA certification requirements for an audit.
