CAPSES to testify  before Joint Legislative Audit Committee on Mental Health Services

CAPSES is to give testimony to mental health services at the Joint Legislative Audit Committee hearing.  The audit committee is focusing on pre and post-AB 114 transition of mental health services and wants to ensure whether students are receiving the necessary health services that they need.    One of the goals of the audit is to find out if students have fallen through the cracks during the transition from AB 3632 to AB 114. 

CAPSES is aware of many differences in mental health services across the state of California and school districts and SELPA that are contracting with nonpublic schools and agencies.    

The committee hearing is being held on Wednesday April 22, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in the California State Capitol,  Room 126.  CAPSES members who are interested in this topic are encouraged to attend the hearing.
